Hello everyone,
We would like to provide you with an update regarding the next steps for the MEC and the upcoming negotiation process.
As your newly elected MEC Representatives and Negotiating Committee, we met on June 5 with our ALPA representative to discuss the upcoming negotiations and several topics that have already been brought to our attention by members of the pilot group.
We also have a meeting scheduled with the company on June 10 to establish a negotiation timeline and discuss several preliminary matters, including:
• Maintenance of activities and essential flight services;
• Languages to be used during the negotiation process;
• Planning, logistics, and scheduling of bargaining sessions;
• Compensation for members of the bargaining committee;
• Access to information regarding newly hired pilots;
• A general briefing on the company’s current and future projects.
As we move forward, we will be distributing a bargaining proposal survey to help identify and prioritize the pilot group’s interests and concerns. We strongly encourage all pilots to participate, as your feedback will play an important role in helping guide our priorities throughout the negotiation process.
We also encourage you to reach out to your MEC representatives (negotiating committee) with any questions, concerns, or suggestions. Your input is important and will help us better represent the pilot group throughout this process.
