What to Expect Next During Certification

Dear Air Creebec Pilots,

First of all, a huge thank you to everyone who signed a representation card and joined us in our effort to become a part of the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA). As we announced in a previous email, on January 9 we filed membership cards with the Canada Industrial Review Board. This week, we wanted to share a brief explanation of the certification process.

This graphic comes directly from the CIRB and shows the steps involved; we have completed step 1 and are on step 2.
We want to assure you that, while the CIRB may call you during the investigation process, at no point at all will management ever know who did or did not sign a card. The cards are kept completely confidential in that respect.

While we have filed cards, there’s still time for you to sign and submit yours if you haven’t done so already. Should the CIRB approve our application--as we expect it to--those who have submitted a membership card will automatically become an ALPA member and immediately have access to the Association’s resources.

Visit our Air Creebec ALPA organizing site at crq.alpa.org to download a card, read past emails, or learn more about ALPA. We’ll continue to keep you updated as we continue on toward Air Creebec pilots becoming part of the world’s largest pilots’ union!

In unity,
