Fellow pilots at Air Creebec,
Welcome to the Air Line Pilots Association, International!
Today, the Canada Industrial Relations Board certified ALPA as your bargaining agent. You now join more than 80,000 ALPA pilots in the United States and Canada. Thank you to the Air Creebec ALPA Organizing Committee for all their hard work.
With membership, Air Creebec pilots now have the resources, support, and assistance of ALPA behind them as well, keeping your best interests in mind. ALPA is pilot-led and staff supported: this means you will be setting your own path forward.
Now that ALPA is your bargaining agent, we’ll establish a union structure at Air Creebec right away. ALPA’s vice president–administration/secretary, Capt. Sean Creed, will appoint Air Creebec pilots to serve as your temporary representatives. We will send you their names and contact information immediately following their appointment, which will take place in the next couple of days.
If you already submitted a membership card and $5.00, you become an ALPA member right away. We will send you your ALPA number soon, which you can use for full access to ALPA’s resources. One very important ALPA resource that you have immediate access to as a member is the Worldwide Accident/Serious Incident Hotline.
If you are involved in an aircraft accident or serious incident, please immediately call ALPA’s hotline at 202-797-4180 (collect calls accepted). That hotline will activate our extensive resources and experience to support you as you recover from the incident and protect you through the investigation. As an ALPA member, you will never face any challenge alone. For other non-time-critical safety issues, please call our Engineering and Air Safety Department toll-free at 1-800-424-2470.
For those of you who have not completed a membership card yet, watch for additional communications with information about how to submit your ALPA membership application. Until your temporary representatives are announced, please contact Ron Rindfleisch from ALPA’s Representation Department if you have questions or concerns at
Ron.Rindfleisch@alpa.org or 571-215-2233. You can also visit the
Air Creebec ALPA website for more information about ALPA.
I invite each of you to take an active role in your membership. Read the emails, go to meetings, volunteer--this is your union now. Welcome to ALPA.
