Meet Your ALPA Temporary Representatives
ALPA created a single local council to serve your pilot group immediately after the Canada Industrial Relations Board certified ALPA as your representative. This puts in place a structure for your pilot group to address any immediate issues that might arise as your legal bargaining agent before you elect permanent representatives. This single local council will also serve as your Master Executive Council.

These representatives selected Captain Gallant as temporary MEC chair to serve until you elect permanent representatives and officers. If you are classified as an active member in good standing with ALPA, you will be able to participate in this process. The process to elect permanent representatives includes both a nomination and election process, and we will provide more information about the process in future communications.
I strongly encourage each of you to become an active member of your new union. Please participate in pilot group meetings and activities, vote in the upcoming election, and consider serving on a committee.
ALPA’s services, resources, and benefits are now available to you, and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to participate in your union. You’ll hear more about ALPA membership--how to complete your member record and access resources for those who filled out a card, and how to apply for those who didn’t--in additional emails over the next few days.
